Merrifield Plant Specialist

Becoming a nurseryman was in Joel’s blood. After obtaining his horticulture degree from West Virginia University, Joel worked on his grandfather’s farm, studying nursery production and harvest crops and developing a love for plant genetics. Today he fulfills this fascination by studying new cultivars as a buyer and member of our shrubs team at our Merrifield location where he works to ensure we have the highest quality plants available.

In his free time, Joel enjoys producing music and being outdoors, hiking, backpacking and camping whenever possible.
