A horticulturist for over 36 years, Paul’s enthusiasm for gardening stems from his desire to see possibilities fulfilled. You’ll find Paul among our trees and shrubs team at our Fair Oaks location, sharing his knowledge of fruits, edibles and unusual plants while wearing his straw sunhat.

Paul is passionate about living things–so much so that he considered a career as a veterinarian until he learned that they help both healthy and sick animals. We’re lucky Paul discovered his love for plants as a child and made the move from California to join the Merrifield team 14 years ago. When he’s not at Merrifield, Paul enjoys growing tree and shrub seedlings, hiking and reading.
