When using Dr. Earth Pot of Gold All Purpose Potting Soil:

  • Select a container that is slightly larger than the plant you are potting. Ensure the vessel has drainage holes to allow the water to drain through the container.
  • Fill your pot ⅔ of the way up the pot with Dr. Earth Pot of Gold All Purpose Potting Soil.
  • Remove your plant from the grower pot and loosen the roots before placing it in the soil. Make sure the plant is about the same depth in the soil as it was in the original container. Backfill around the plant with additional Dr. Earth Pot of Gold All Purpose Potting Soil. A good rule of thumb is to have the top of the soil be 1” below the lip of the container to prevent the soil from running over the lip of the container when watering.
  • Water thoroughly. Place the container on a tray or saucer to catch water as it drains from the bottom.
