Our custom blended, seed starting lawn food is made specifically for the conditions we face in the Northern Virginia area. Contains phosphorus to promote root establishment and iron for a rich, green color. Long lasting, slow release nitrogen supports a healthy, green lawn. Feeds for 10 to 12 weeks.

Use Merrifield Select in the spring or fall when seeding new lawns, sodding or overseeding established lawns. We recommend three applications of lawn food per year, with one in the spring and two in the fall. If you use Merrifield Select when seeding or sodding, follow up with Merrifield Premium for your second and third feedings.

A 6 lb. jug will cover 1,500 sq. ft. (or roughly the size of the front and back yard of a town home, twice). A 20 lb. bag will cover 5,000 sq. ft. (or roughly the size of a lawn on a 1/4 acre lot).
