Coast of Maine Lobster & Crab Compost is best used to amend the soil when planting fruits and vegetables in the garden. Made from lobster and crab shells, this mix serves as an excellent, natural source of calcium for your fruits and vegetables and helps prevent blossom end rot on tomatoes and peppers. Not only does it revitalize soil, it also helps with water retention, drainage and aeration. This soil conditioner also includes composted manure, sphagnum peat moss and aged bark. It is OMRI-listed for organic use.
