When using Espoma Organic Potting Mix:

• Select a container that is slightly larger than the plant you are potting. Ensure the vessel has drainage holes to allow the water to drain through the container.
• Fill your pot ⅔ of the way up the pot with Espoma Organic Potting Mix.
• Remove your plant from the grower pot and loosen the roots before placing it in the soil. Make sure the plant is about the same depth in the soil as it was in the original container. Backfill around the plant with additional Espoma Organic Potting Mix. A good rule of thumb is to have the top of the soil be 1” below the lip of the container to prevent the soil from running over the lip of the container when watering.
• Water thoroughly. Place the container on a tray or saucer to catch water as it drains from the bottom.
