If you’re planting into an established raised garden bed, you can use Coast of Maine Raised Bed Mix to refresh your soil prior to planting. Rake out any winter debris and add a fresh 1 to 2” layer of Coast of Maine Raised Bed Mix to the top of the soil.
Many gardeners will also top-dress with Raised Bed Mix in the fall. This allows the organic material to settle and begin enriching the bed over the winter months.

Do I need to add fertilizer?
For the first 4 to 6 weeks, you typically do not need to add any fertilizer. The mix is pre-charged with a complex nutrient profile (0.6-0.35-0.22). After that period, heavy-feeding plants like tomato may benefit from a supplemental fertilizer.
Can I use it for pots and containers?
