Sod Pins / Landscape Staples

Sod pins (also known as landscape staples) can be used throughout the garden in many different ways, such as holding down landscape fabric and sod or pinning hoses or irrigation tubing. Sod pins are metal and are particularly durable and easy to install. If you’re securing landscape fabric, you’ll need to use a hammer or rubber mallet to put the pin into place.
We stock individual sod pins or in a box of 1,000. They are 6” long by 1” wide and are shaped like a U.
We can deliver the landscape staples to your location. In addition to delivery, we can also provide installation services. If you’re interested in having our team install your sod pins, please book a landscape appointment and select Garden Cleanup, Mulch and Sod as the appointment type.
If you are securing landscape fabric:
- Add one staple every 8 to 12” as a rule of thumb for using landscape staples/sod pins.
- Cover it with mulch to prevent weeds from developing. When pinning sod to a steep slope, we suggest using 2 to 4 staples per slab of sod.
