Lawns that look terrific in the spring are starting to strain under the summer heat. As we approach the fall season, it’s time to start our fall lawn care tasks to get our lawn back to a lush green.
Seeding: Start by seeding your lawn. Identify ThinMost of us will use Merrifield Tuff Play, which needs about 4 hours of sun. Shaded lawns with less than 4 hours will prefer Merrifield Shady, while some may prefer the premium Merrifield Sunny.
Fertilizer: After seeding, put down fertilizer. Merrifield Select is perfect if you are seeding. If you are not seeding, opt for Merrifield Premium.
Start by raking clean dead spots and thin areas, then seed the entire area and fertilize with Merrifield Select. Go back to bare spots and cover with a thin layer of compost. After about 4-6 weeks pass, come back and fertilize another time with Merrifield Premium.
