Planting to Attract Birds – Provide Berries, Blooms and Seeds

When planting a garden to attract your favorite birds, you will want to look at plants that provide food sources. Do the plants produce berries or seeds? Do they attract insects that the birds feed on?

If you are looking to attract hummingbirds, you can plant flowers that bloom in colors they are drawn to – planting large swaths of reds, oranges, whites and yellow will draw them in.
